A big thank you to the team from Handelsbanken in Leamington Spa for clearing the SYDNI garden.
Last month the team from Handelsbanken in Leamington Spa dusted off their wellies and rolled up their sleeves gardening here at the SYDNI Centre. The day was spent digging and clearing overgrown weeds to make space for the four new planters, which were also built by the team.
Joanne Cattermole, Private Banking Manager, tells us “as a bank giving back to the community is important to us. The bank supports this by providing us with an annual corporate and social responsibility day. We can use this day to help any local cause or organisation and this year we decided that we’d love to work with the SYNDI Centre.”
Helen Jones, Centre Manager at The SYDNI Centre was delighted in the amount of clearing and building that the team accomplished. "The corporate and social responsibility day is such a help to charities like us. The team have helped so much and supported SYDNI to grow herbs and vegetables for the café and residents in the local community.
Marcia Wallace, Assistant Banking Manager “Digging, weeding and clearing the overgrown vegetation was hard work, but we are so proud to have cleared a large area of the garden. SYDNI can now grow more fresh fruit and vegetables for their lovely café.”
Branch Manager, Dani Coe, “What a thoroughly enjoyable day! It’s great to have this time to support local initiatives here in Leamington Spa. A big thanks goes to my team for their efforts.”
